Whippet's rap-up of Sunday, 15 Dec, “Hornsby to Woy Woy for Publican's Bar-B-Q ride”  in previous Bullsheet via:

Bank Teller's rap-up of Sunday, 22 Dec, "Whale Beach, via Tornado's "Cardiac Arrest Hill" - 87km

With Xmas commitments a beckoning, only 14 crew mustered at Whale Beach for our 1st Nosh Stop after 42km, amidst brill sunshine at one of Sydney's most serene coastal alcoves.  But most of 'em were lucky to get there, after enduring Tornado's 15.6km "roller-coaster back-route" from Mona Vale via the Newport Arms, Clareville 'n Careel Bay.

Below is an extract of clause (xvi) of "Liability Acknowledgement":
"(xvi)     I am aware that climbing steep, long hills might strain my motor."

Don't think anyone who'd just undergone the following would have had any doubt about the Ride Organiser including the above clause (xvi) -

  • Been on the "jumbo version" Big Dipper since Mona St;

  • Slogged-up Loombah St with a 650m 15˝gradient, and

  • Hunched over at the crest of Loombah St, gasping for enough air to avoid vital chambers from closing down - 5 min breathlessly recuperating, bordering on cardiac arrest.

Golly Gosh, that 15.6km diversion thru some of the prettiest/dearest coastal real estate was a Torture Test for the unprepared, especially on a day that was unambiguously sticky.

A pensive ToothFairy at Whale Beach with the Peloton in the background - well in some of the b'gnd.

NB:    Scribe's 1 Sept Bullsheet included an e-mail "A message from a biker in America"; 'twas from a lured, Septic Tank cyclist who asked Scribe to publish a few pics of Ozzie Babes on Beaches in the weekly Bullsheets.  We've heard of the Ugly Australian.  But that tactless, crass e-mail was testimony that one American cyclist can stoop to new lows of depravity.  The e-mail is accessible at http://db1.auswide.net.au/muggaccinos/ThisYearsRides/0209/1Sept02.htm

The striking young lass in the above pic is -

(a)    testimony that Oz Babes are as good as they get; and

(b)    not provided to satisfy a RedNeck American's fantasies, even if he makes pretences of being a cyclist.

Kiwi Mike seemingly holding court 'waxing lyrical' at The Lookout with 'et al' hanging on his every word.  Or upon closer inspection was something happening off to their right that only one crew member didn't twig to.

Highlight of Muggs' return route to Church Point was Whippet latching on to the tail or a Brazilian Beauty as we approached Newport Hill.  Half an hour later, that Delectable Damsel even enquired as to whether Brian had 'a spare' after Whippet punctured about 800m shy of Church Point.  That babe, with a voluptuous, curvaceous Latin butt, was a veritable Goddess on two wheels!  And Brian's capacity to latch on to her tail, providing amply testimony that there ain't nothing awry with Whippet's hormones.

Footnote:  Despite recent reminders that each Participant has a 'duty of care' to each other to be familiar with the route rudimentaries, it ain't happening!  Teller has rec'd 7 executed Liability Acknowledgements.  Alas, non have been amended or deleted any clause(s), which either indicates that the counterparties -

(a)    are in complete agreement; or

(b)    couldn't be bothered in "getting their heads around" the below reasons.
Teller
will be distributing hardcopy A4 Liability Acknowledgement forms over pending weeks for execution by remaining Participants.  Feel free to delete any clause(s) you disagree with.  As the purpose of this form is to instill the discipline of -

(i)     performing your own 'due diligence' before attending each ride; and

(ii)    maintaining the ride protocols espoused therein.
