Teller's rap-up of Anzac Day "Sortie to Bayview Marina" - 59km

Only six starters, and Whippet had a nasty fall descending a section of Cottage Point in dense fog, necessitating Yamaha accompanying him back to St Ives.  Anna-Lisa was on Whippet's tail when he came off doing about 30km on a wet, slippery section of Cottage Point.  After skidding to a halt, leaving blood, skin, elbow and knee on the roadway, to her horror and amazement, Whippet quickly checked out his bike and jumped back on, scurrying off to catch the others.

The rest of us carried on to Bayview, where the waitress at the cafe served Widget 'n PJ double coffee orders, rather than risk getting screamed at by "boss lady" for mucking-up the order.

The 23km leg from Bayview back to St Ives was keenly contested, with first US Postal  and then Anna-Lisa zipping by the two seasoned plodders in Widget 'n Scribe.  Upon the 2nd young up-start speeding by, PJ bellowed, "OK it is on, I'm going to catch that young upstart."  But alas, notwithstanding a lot of determination and resolve, not to mention, some resolute pedaling, it was all to no avail, as a 21 year old's "cardio vascular system" will usually prevail over a half century model clogged up with numerous vintages of fine Reds.

Post-ride back at Pattisons' Widget, US Postal, Anna-Lisa 'n Teller enjoy various fixes on a balmy mid-Autumn morn'.

NB:  Teller dropped in at Bike Nth's cycle picnic at Alluba Oval later that morn' to check on WhippetBattered 'n bruised, prodded 'n patched, but with a smile on his dial.  He's a tough old bugger.
