Bank Teller's rap-up of Brekkie at Bayview, Sunday, 23 Dec - 80km

Excuse the poor quality below pic of the team, taken under the awning at Bayview Marina at our initial Nosh Stop around 9:45am after cycling E from St Ives, via Duffys' Forest and West Head.  PJ is still learnen' how to use his new digital toy.  Like when you switch from 'auto' to 'manual', you got to do the thinken' for the camera, which isn't smart when you know naught about photography.  Hence, "focus" and "light" lacks a tad, but you still should be able to make out the crew, who incidentally weren't in any hurry to get back on their treadleys.  Most of us ordered from the array of greasy traditional English breakfasts, that the Marina is noted for - fried eggs, snags, bacon ' tomato.  The service was slow, the Prima coffee excellent.  Alas, time marched on but nobody cared.

Switching' back to 'auto focus' helped with the 2nd pic post ride at Pattisons' Patisserie around middayBrenda had changed back to civvies, after sneaking a quick shower from the garden hose in the front lawn in the house where we have previously filled our bidons.  Fortunately, the stone fence and shrubs afforded enough privacy - not that anyone would've cared.

Whippet, Navigator, ToothFairy and BigGears ensured a healthy pace.  Annie Oakley was unyielding.  However, Scribe, Widget and Pacific turned in lethargic performances, but they couldn't 've given a Tinker's Cuss - something akin to not given a Rat's Arse, but it is Christmas.

Tues, 1 Jan, New Year's Day - 7:30am from St Ives to Warriewood via Duffy's Forest and Akuna Bay - 54km to 84km - ETR midday
