Inaugural Annual Regional B9H's "Wives Rule a G" sojourn in The Blue Mountains

Monday, 22 Oct to Thurs 25 Oct 2018 (4 golf courses in 4 days) - 3 nights staying at the inexpensive Gearin Hotel, Katoomba

Amazing natural wonders The Three Sisters and Echo Point at the hotel’s doorstep
Three suggested snobbish din dins eateries - no obligation to attend.

Wives are invited to play golf.  Or at least accompany Hubbies in a cart on at least one golf course - some of the views at Leura GC are marvellous.
Based on the Bookings.com quote on RHS, and Hotel Gearin's Accommodation webpage, couples in a double room $45 per head p/n.  Twin share $45 per head p/n.  Only one triple room and one double room have an en-suite bathroom - slightly less inexpensive.

The other rooms access hallway toilets.

Invest the money saved on 'digs' on memorable 'din-dins'.

Hotel Gearin is a Heritage listed building established in 1881 - additions in 1919 and 1927.

Personifies the Art Deco period. The hotel was bought and named in 1910 by Mrs. Gearin a notorious advocate of the  'feminist movement'.

The centrepiece of the hotel is the classic “long bar” - with carpet on the floor

The hotel is warmed by two cosy open fireplaces in winter.

Five Things to do at Scenic World Blue Mountains

                                      GOVETT’S LEAP LOOKOUT
One of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff. The ‘ozone-laden’ air of the Blue Mountains was promoted as a health tonic since the early 1800s, and when you get there, you’ll realise why.
Located at the end of Govett’s Leap Road is Govett’s Leap lookout, which is possibly the second most popular vistas in the Blue Mountains. With a spectacular view of Govetts & Grose gorge the vertical cliffs drop 180 metres into the floor of the gorge.

  CAMPBELL RHODODENDRON GARDENS
Created in 1970 on 18.5 hectares at the northern end of Blackheath.  Managed by the Blue Mountains Rhododendron Society, a community organization of volunteers with members throughout Australia.  It is a garden unique in the world – no other garden has attempted to plant exotics underneath their existing native bush on such a large scale.

                             THE THREE SISTERS
The Blue Mountains’ most spectacular landmark located at Echo Point Katoomba, around 2.5 kilometres from the Great Western Highway, this iconic visitor attraction is experienced by millions of people each year.

If guests behave themselves and don't cheat on the golf course, we will visit the Illawarra and the Hunter Regions in subsequent years, 'cause you are a long time dead.
